We have been inspired by the rich and diverse backgrounds of our own cultures and personal experiences, enhanced by Portugal Itself and the beautiful Alentejo. It makes us anchored in the environment and at the same time open to international collaboration and exchange, promoting an inclusive space where people can learn from each other’s challenges.

QXote facilitates knowledge exchange in the area of sustainable development. Our mission is to fight desiccation, aging and impoverishment, on our estate, in our municipality, the region and other (warm) poor parts of Europe. We do this by building partnerships with schools, universities, companies,NGO's and the local community. To this end, we organize research projects, internships, training sessions, knowledge sessions, and other activities. We do this with organisations both from Portugal as well as from the Netherlands, and in the future also with other countries.

We have many plans for 2023, many of which are already in the form of concrete commitments. In March we receive two or three groups for B2B trainings, in April students from the Yuverta College from Rijswijk come for a three-week internship on our land. In May, we will receive private guests (already booked), in June again a number of B2B training courses, in July we organize the SDG Challenge for students from the Netherlands and Portugal here, and after the summer we will probably receive students from the Netherlands again, with whom we will start an innovative irrigation project.
For these activities we need slightly more scale and facilities than we can offer now.
