The Good Roll

The Good Roll (since 2017) is a disruptor in the market for a product that we all use every day; toilet paper. We make paper with a purpose. In other words, toilet paper with which we make a social, economic and ecological impact. For example, we recently built and opened our first own factory in Ghana, where we make toilet paper on a fair trade basis and entirely with local people from the raw material of the future: bamboo. In this way we already provide direct and indirect employment to hundreds of people. In addition, we donate 50% of our net profit to build and maintain safe sanitation facilities in West Africa. In this way we offer better living conditions and more prosperity for thousands of people. But we want to do much more good.

Market & BHAG

The global market for toilet paper in 2022 is estimated at €77,4 billion, of which the addressable market size is approx. 10%: €7,5 billion. Due to ongoing population growth, increasing access to toilets and an increasing willingness of businesses and consumers to spend on sustainable products, we firmly believe the addressable market will autonomously grow coming years by 64% to €12,3 billion in 2028.

Our Big Hairy Audacious Goal has various dimensions: we (cl)aim to be able to generate a very profitable €500+ million revenue by 2028. But moreover, through our bamboo products we provide (extra) income to thousands of local farmers, within our factories we provide labor for thousands of local citizens, and with our donations we can build enormous amounts of safe toilets and thereby improve millions of lives.

Our calculations indicate that as from 2024 we will generate positive EBITDA before giving donations. And with our revenue we will generate a gross margin stabilizing at ≈45%, an EBITDA before donations at ≈27% and EBITDA after donations of ≈14%.

Growth plan

This year we will double our turnover from 2.5 million Euros to 5 million Euros through sales in B-to-B, Retail and B-to-C, mainly in the Netherlands. However, our 'BHAG' is 500 million Euro international turnover in 2028, so that we can and will actually make a lot more impact! How, that is stated in the enclosed pitch deck. But to realize that, we need growth capital. So we are looking for angel investors who believe in our dream and approach. Just like us, game changers, with relevant knowledge, an extensive network and belief in striving for a better world.

So to the point

We want to 'raise' 2.5 million euros in the short term and make 10% share capital available (via a STAK). Ideally, we will find 8-12 complementary investors for this. Are you one of them? We will be happy to contact you shortly to discuss this.
