CHANGE IN FASHION IS NECESSARY NOW
- Earth Overshoot Day is the date when humanity has used all the natural resources the Earth can produce in one year. In 2022, this had already been achieved in the Netherlands on April 12. This means that the way we use raw materials has to change.
- The working conditions in textiles are often still poor. With child labour, poor pay and long working days.
- In the Netherlands we throw away no less than 40 pieces of clothing per person per year. That is a total of 150 million kilos of clothing per year (KplusV, 2019).
- Only 12% of discarded clothing is recycled. 2% is used again in clothing. The rest is burned.
THESE ARE OUR PROMISES
Use of as many non-polluting materials as possible in the entire chain.
- Materials that are biodegradable and can return to nature.
- Materials that are not biodegradable are recycled.
In this way it does not end up in the waste and the use of new materials is kept to a minimum. And of course maximum commitment to reuse what we make.

Elements of Freedom stands for a sustainable fashion chain from start to finish. We don't just go for t-shirts made of organic cotton or bamboo, but for a complete collection of sustainable materials. Elements of Freedom shows that sustainable clothing can be colourful, stylish and expressive.
In our sustainable mission we do not stand still, but we continue to develop further. With the aim of a completely circular approach in fashion in which we burden nature as little as possible. All factories and suppliers we work with share the same sustainable attitude.
