Step 1. Clarity
This first session will be around 120 minutes, instead of the normal 90 mins. We will introduce each other briefly. Have a little chat and discuss the group coaching and mastermind program and what will be the end result. We will also have time for some questions as well. After that, we will go through the steps you need to take to build the Pitch Deck. A Pitch Deck needs to be crystal clear in regards to the WHY HOW and WHAT you do in a KISS (Keep It Simple & Stupid) formula after this session you are able to explain your solution to a 6-year-old child.
Step 2. Story telling
Who doesn’t love a good story? When you were a kid you demanded your mother to tell you a bedtime story. Investors, are not ashamed to still want to be told a nice mid-morning-meeting story. It’s not nice when you don't tell them a good story, but only a few do this. The difference between an okay Pitch Deck and killer Pitch Deck is a compelling story (or narrative) that shows through. In this 90 min session, we will explain the details of what a good Pitch deck story should look like and you will make your own story.
Step 3.Content
I find that people get smarter when you put them in situations where they need to game up. In this session, you will learn how to think like an investor and what key questions do they want to be answered in your deck. Startups want to sell a product or service and investors want to build companies. Big difference. In this session, you will write all the content for your Pitch Deck.
Step 4. Design
After the content is clear it is time to put some emotion into it and make your Pitch Deck pretty. We will give a lot of attention to the cover page. To me, this is the most important slide if this one looks bad investors are not attempted to read the rest of your Pitch Deck. We will show you how to make it nice and pretty. Remember you can only give a first impression once.
Step 5. Sharing is caring:
In this step, you will give feedback on each other's work so you need to have it ready before this step and being able to give feedback. Everybody will be accountable to do this part and push each other to the next level and make that amazing Pitch Deck. Be critical but friendly.
